This spring will find Mr. Rory Flynn on a relentless charm campaign, talking about DARK HORSE, Eddy Harkness, the next generation of Boston crime, drugs, and whatever topic intrigues you. Here are just some of the events/readings currently scheduled. Please check back for the latest updates.

Tuesday, June 7th, 7 PM. Concord Bookshop, Concord, Massachusetts. Hometown book launch in the land of Nagog! Literary locals, free drinks, special flask giveaway, and a chance to buy an early copy of DARK HORSE – and have it tainted with the illegible scrawl of Mr. Rory Flynn.

Wednesday, June 8th, 7 PM. All citizens of Boƒton and surrounding towns are invited to attend the official Dark Horse Launch Party at ONCE Lounge/Cuisine en Locale, Somerville, Massachusetts, where they will enjoy:

  • The celebratory (and potent) Dark Horse Cocktail
  • Delicious (and free) food
  • Flask giveaway!
  • Copies of DARK HORSE on sale from Brookline Booksmith
  • Music by Martin and Morell

Thursday, June 9th, 7 PM. Newtonville Books, Newton, Massachusetts. Reading and discussion, flask giveaway!

Saturday, June 11th, 3 PM. Jabberwocky Books, Newburyport, Massachusetts. Reading and discussion. Totemic photos of Mr. Rory Flynn and Andre Dubus III will be distributed for good luck. The legendary James Ryan – to whom DARK HORSE is dedicated – will be in attendance.

Wednesday, June 15th, 7 PM. RiverRun Bookstore, Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The Dark Horse Cocktail will be served at double strength. Hilarity (and enthusiastic book sales) will ensue.

Thursday, June 16th, 5:30 PM. Gibson’s Bookstore, Concord, New Hampshire. Mr. Rory Flynn will be thrumming with excitement during this rare event at one of his favorite bookstores. Join him.

Tuesday, June 21st, 7:00 PM. The Ivy Bookshop, Baltimore, Maryland. This fine bookstore marks the southern-most point in Mr. Rory Flynn’s DARK HORSE journey. See you there.

Thursday, June 23rd, 7:00 PM. Longfellow Books, Portland, Maine. Another of Mr. Rory Flynn’s favorite  bookstores, though it’s his first time reading there. So join his Portland relatives and friends.
